Howzit Everyone!
It's my turn to share some Rick St Dennis EDT inspiration over on our Facebook group, Rick St. Dennis Digi Fans and Friends.
This image called Meermin is a colouring page from Rick St Dennis' latest colouring book, Little Loves, and it's available on Amazon! If you enjoy colouring just for the fun of colouring then you'll want to check out all the Rick St Dennis colouring books available now too. However, if you love colouring but colouring books just aren't your thing then think about taking coloured pages a step further and make something with them like cards for example which is what I did for today's share!
I coloured this little cutie-pie with Copics as well as the background and created watery effects with a light shade of blue and the colourless blender pen. When I cut the sides to make the card front I trimmed it so that her curls and tail peek out over the edges a bit for just a touch of extra interest. I then applied Stormy Distress Ink with a foam ink applicator around all four sides to further enhance the impression that she's surrounded by water.

The "sea weed" on the right side I made from cutting blue cardstock extremely thinly on my paper cutter. I love doing this, I never tire of the fun spirals the cuts create. The 3 pieces where then stitched onto the card front with a variegated fiber which I then looped and incorporated into my ocean bouquet and completed with a starfish. I'm currently on vacation and didn't have time to add the extra details I wanted to include before this project was due to share so I will be adding Viva Pearl Magic Transparent White dimensional drops to each pearl on her necklace and Wink of Stella clear to her fins for a subtle touch of shimmer and will share the completed card soon.
The "stitching" bit I added coz our Facebook Challenge for April is "You had me in Stitches" and we challenge you to incorporate stitching into your projects whether they be real or faux so come and join the fun!
Thanks for stopping by to see my project and I hope I've inspired you to come and play us!
