5 Bloody Nooses
Thank you for all the compliments I'm getting on my backgrounds I created for each page so I thought I'd tell you a bit more about it ;0)
I used Cuttlebug's Gear Box narrow embossing folder and placed the areas I wanted to emboss into the folder and hand pressed with my fingers. I simply applied more pressure in some areas more than others to control the amount of embossing to achieve some variation. I then applied Fired Brick Distress Ink with a sponge applicator to bring out the embossing and added more ink on the deeper embossed areas for even more variation. This was all done after I coloured the image with Copics. Black Soot Distress ink was applied to the distressed edges and then I randomly spritzed with pearl white Smooch spray and because Distress Ink is water based I got a sparkly Steampunk-esque background and a cool bleeding effect at the same time!
