Bubbly Depths Collection🦈
I've been entranced by sharks, especially Great Whites, ever since I saw
Jaws at the cinema when I was 5 years old. I actually only saw the opening attack scene and got to experience the iconic music and
then I was outta there but that was all it took...I was hooked on
sharks...terrified to go in the ocean forevermore... but still forever
mesmerized by the gorgeous creatures! I finally saw the whole movie
about 5 years later and loved it🦈
So
my jaw-some finale make is all about the Sharkies!
Plus Shark Week kicks off on July 11th...grab the popcorn...Jaws
marathon here I come🦈
I used all 5 layers with bubbles from the
Bubbly Depths Rectangle Tunnel SVG Cutz
set to create my 3D tunnel scene. 4 layers are cut from shades of blue
cardstock and 5th and top layer from black. I like to use 80lb
cardstock for most of my SVG cutting, especially for the more delicate
cuts like the netting!
Around the perimeter of the top layer I wrote with a metallic silver gel pen...
Sharks...
disconcertingly appear out of nowwhere...
approaching silently from deep below...
rapidly swimming...
circling ever tighter...

Then filled the depths with a shiver of circling sharks and their pilot fish from the
Bubbly Depths Ocean Life SVG Cutz set all cut from black cardstock. There’s a few words to describe a group of sharks but “shiver” really sets the mood! I also added deep blue metallic eyelash fibers around the outer edge to enhance the organic feel of movement.
I glued the sharks to the different concentric layers to further enhance the 3D tunnel effect. I used the silver gel pen to add some highlight glints to the sharks and
fish and also added some distressed metallic silver ink to 2 of them so
they stand out nicely from the black top layer.
NOW might be a good time to GET OUT OF THE WATER!!!!
