As you can see from the SALEbration poster lil miss Oddleigh Cupcake looks awesome in bold bright Copic colours and she looks amazing done in a vintage shabby chic style too.
This was my first time using Spectrum Noir ColourTint pencils, they are sooooo much fun!
I used colours from both the Primary and Nature Spectrum Noir ColourTint sets to colour her as well as a bit of background shading to frame her. The rest of the background was done with Tea Dye and Black Soot Distress Inks and a Tim Holtz Gothic layering stencil.
I used a Spellbinders Shapeabilities Ironworks Accents die down the right hand side and the flowers are Spellbinders Carnation Creations dies. I used the ColourTint pencils to make watercoloured cardstock and used that for the die cut flowers as well as the mat layer.
I added Viva Pearl Violet Magic Transparent 3D gel to the flower centers and stamped the birthday sentiment from Tim's Crazy Talk rubber stamps down the left side in Onyx Black Versafine ink. Cardstock distressed edges and a black folded card completes the look.
Oddleigh Cupcake is whimsically quirky and super cute! She comes paired with 2 fun birthday themed images, a row of candles for making fun borders and backgrounds and a cupcake that is a bit different to the one she wears so sweetly on her head!
Birthday Cupcake is a fun party design that is a must have for any stamp collection!

I'm loving the colours Val used on this one, it's got such a wonderful vintage feel to it. The cupcake pops so yummily against the decorative paper. This would totally work for a guy card as well as a gift tag!

For today's Tutorial Tuesday I'm sharing the fun Z Fold Spinner Birthday Card I made my nephew for his 11th birthday plus there's a little video below showing it in action for you to check out too!

A Z Fold card is so much fun and including the spinner element adds that extra WOW factor! Totally makes it a super cool birthday card for boys and girls and adults too of course!
Start off by making a regular side folding card and then fold the front of the card in half creating a mountain fold. I used white cardstock but you can use whatever colour you want.
Center the largest of Spellbinders' Nestabilities Mega Ovals LG dies on the front fold and die cut out an oval window.
Adhere decorative paper to the entire front side of the card and then die cut out the window oval again. Frame the oval window with a metallic gold paint marker.
Emboss a panel of red cardstock with a birthday themed embossing folder and apply metallic gold rub-on creme to enhance the embossed design. Edge the entire panel with the metallic gold paint marker. Now for all the digi image fun!
Measure the height and width at the widest part of the oval window and adjust the size of the Birthday Cupcake to fit the space. You need 2 cupcakes with one being a mirror image. I also printed out 2 extra candles as well.
Merge one of the Party Hats onto Santa Whiskers in your art software before printing him out or add the party hat after printing with just a bit of fussy cutting and layering.
Colour all the images with Copics and add highlights with a white dylusions paint pen.
I also added lots of yummy sparkle with clear Wink of Stella and metallic gold Spectrum Noir Sparkle glitter brush pen to the cupcake frosting, candles and party hat.
Fussy cut out all the images. For the 2 cupcakes, fussy cut them both out by holding them together back to back. Then adhere them together and sandwich a length of clear fishing line down the center. Adhere the ends of the fishing line into the fold crease of the oval window on the back of the card, pull the line taught and trim off any excess.
Apply Black Soot Distress ink to all the edges of the card including the window crease.
Rubber stamp the birthday sentiments with Onyx Black Versafine ink and adhere the red embossed panel to the inside of the card and add the kitty. Embellish the left side of the Z fold with metallic gold number stickers and the 2 candles. I used two 1's coz my nephew turned 11 and mirrored the number with the 2 fussy cut out candles.
Wind up the spinner by twisting it quite a bit to get a good spin out of it, pop it inside an envelope and its ready for the grand surprise😀

For today's Tutorial Tuesday I've got a time-lapse Copic colouring video of Oddleigh Cupcake and then a tutorial showing you how I made my super cute "Make a Wish" card featuring her and the rest of the images included in the Oddleigh Cupcake set. The Oddleigh Cupcake set is one of my new April releases and is available at a special intro price! Offer ends at midnight pacific on April 8th!

Now for my "Make a Wish" card featuring her and the other 2 designs that come in the Oddleigh Cupcake set, the Candles and Cupcake!
Print out Oddleigh Cupcake and the separate Cupcake digi onto Neenah solar white cardstock and colour with Copics. I used the following colours:
Y13, 15 and 17
E000, 00, 01, 02 and 04
BV 000, 01, 02, 04
V12, 15 and 17
BG 00, 01, 02, 04, 07 and 17
R20, 22, 24, 27 and 29
Colourless Blender 0
Add white highlights with a Ranger gel pen. Fussy cut out both images, mat onto black cardstock and fussy cut again leaving a narrow black border. I love doing this image matting technique coz it really makes the images pop and helps strengthen any flimsy bits too.
Add lots of yummy sparkle with clear Wink of Stella. I blinged up the frosting and candle flames on both cupcakes, her lips, hair ribbon and bow, the kitty face on her bodice and the bows on her shoes. Then apply Violet Transparent glossy gel to the pearls on the cupcake with a Viva Pearl pen to give them a lovely shimmery 3D effect.
Now for the card. I designed a decorative background in Photoshop using the Candles border. I created 3 rows with the center row of Candles larger than the other two and printed out onto yellow cardstock cut to 4 x 6 inches.
Lay down the Tim Holz Gothic Layering Stencil at an angle on the left side of the panel and apply Blue Sapphire Sparkle Medium with a palette knife. Carefully remove the stencil and add a bit of the same design to the right hand side too. It dries pretty quickly but you can speed up the dry time with a heat tool.
Oooooooooooo aaaaaaaaaah....it's sooooo pretty!
Love the blue sparkly dimensional design with the yellow cardstock.
While waiting for the sparkle medium to dry make a 4 x 6 inch folded card base from white cardstock and adhere a panel of the same black cardstock used to mat the images onto the back of the card. The black panel finishes the back of the card nicely as it blends into the back view of Oddleigh Cupcake coz she sticks out above the fold. You can make the card base with black cardstock instead and then just add a white panel inside of the card for your sentiment and personal message.
Type up the "Make a Wish" sentiment and print it out. Cut out each word, mat onto black cardstock and trim leaving a narrow border. Apply clear of Wink of Stella to the black border of each word and also add Wink of Stella to the candle flames on the background for even more sparkle magic.
Adhere all the images to the card base. I love extending images out beyond the fold, it adds a fun WOW factor to cards and makes them even more special I think!
