Jolly Elf

I'm back today to share the Christmas card I made for my nephew who was my inspiration for this Oddleigh character, Oddleigh Lizard Boy Elf and Snowflake set.  I just adore this fun lil guy, he's so cute and loves to catch snowflakes on his tongue.  He's now on FLASH SALE for 25% off until midnight tonight pacific time🎅🏻

I printed him out on Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir premium smooth white cardstock and fussy cut him out without leaving a white border.  Then layered onto black cardstock and fussy cut out again this time leaving a narrow black border.

 I coloured him with Copics...colour list to come!

Highlights - White Dylusions paint pen

The snowflake background was made with the 3 snowflakes that come in this Oddleigh set and printed out onto cardstock I coloured with Nuance powders.  Clear/ultraviolet glitter glue was applied to to all the snowflakes.  I fussy cut out 3 more snowflakes, painted them white and applied the same glitter glue.  The lower half of the card is a sheet of decorative paper by DCWV.

I added DecoArt Snow all around the edges of the panel and gave the Elf a pile of snow to stand on.  The panel was then layered onto black cardstock then on a folded card made from white cardstock.  The Elf was adhered in place with pop dots and I added lots of Diamond Stickles Glitter glue sparkle throughout the image and dots to the background.  I completed the card with snowflake buttons and of course he had to have one sitting on his tongue.  How cute is he!

Sadly its not very Christmasy at the moment in Southern California with all the wildfires and today's post is a bit late because of the out of control Lilac wildfire that started near me yesterday😟  My car is packed and ready to evacuate at a moments notice and praying we don't need to do that again this year!  Keeping everyone in SoCal in my thoughts and prayers❤️

Oddleigh Poinsettia Elf

It's my turn today to share one of the Christmas cards I've made featuring lil miss Oddleigh Poinsettia Elf and Snowflakes set.  She's now on FLASH SALE, snap up this cutie elf at 25% off until midnight tonight pacific time🎅🏻

I printed her out twice onto Crafter's Companions' Spectrum Noir premium smooth white cardstock and fussy cut the entire image from the one and just the holly sprig and poinsettia from the other.

 I had so much fun colouring her up with a combination of Copics and Chameleon markers:
Hat, dress and top petals of the poinsettia - V02 Mauve Chameleon
Bottom poinsettia petals, dress bow, shoes, lips and berries - RD4 Crimson Red
Holly and leaves - G00, 03, 07, 09 and Y13
Dress and shoes fur - N0 and 2
Hair - E11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 19
Skin - E0000, 000, 00 and 01
Eyes - BG 02, 05 and 07  
Highlights - White Dylusions paint pen

The elf was layered onto black cardstock and fussy cut again to make her pop nicely from the snowflake background of the card which is a decorative paper by DCWV matted on black cardstock then mounted onto a folded card made from white cardstock.  I used pop dots to adhere her to the background and to adhere the holly and poinsettia to the image.

I even drew lil miss Oddleigh Poinsettia Elf with snowflakes in her eyes!

For lots of festive and magical sparkle I added Diamond Stickles glitter glue throughout the image and Viva Pearl magic transparent white dimensional dots to the holly and center of the poinsettia.  I then completed my card with an assortment of snowflake buttons embellished with Autumn Red Nuvo Crystal drops.

Dashing Through the Snow

Oddleigh Lizard Boy Elf and Snowflakes set is now on FLASH SALE, snap up this cutie elf at 25% off until midnight tonight pacific time🎅🏻

Nan printed Oddleigh Lizard Boy Elf out onto white cardstock suitable for use with alcohol markers and coloured him up with the following Spectrum Noir markers:
IB1, IB2 and IB3
BT1 and BT2
TB2
GB4 

She then fussy cut him out.

Nan created this gorgeous winter wonderland background on a sheet of mixed media cardstock.  She used a variety of light blue acrylic paints and then spattered it with white paint to create the fun snowy effect.

The background was then mounted onto a sheet of glittery blue cardstock with silver ribbon tied around it.  The sentiment was cut from a decorative Christmas paper pad and layered on top of the glitter cardstock as well.

Nan edged everything with Salty Ocean Distress Ink and used adhesive tape to adhere Oddleigh Lizard Boy Elf and the sentiment to the background.  To complete her wintery card she embellished it with two tiny snowflakes.

Joy Under the Christmas Tree

LeighSBDesigner Nan's wonderful card today is full of magical memories and features First Christmas from the new Christmas Collection🎄

First Christmas is now on FLASH SALE, snap up this wonderful little cutie at 25% off until midnight tonight pacific time🎅🏻

Nan used watercolour paper and applied the first layer with Derwent Inktense blocks.  On top of that she used Folk Art Mixed Media paint and stamped the white snowflakes and the number "25", the magical day in December!  First Christmas is coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and then the coloured panel was layered onto the background and edged with a black Pitt Big Brush pen.  For the border around the background edge Nan used a scrap of rubber left over from a sheet of stamps which she then stamped in white and added gold gel pen accents.  The sentiment was handwritten with a white Posca paint marker.

Harlequin Cat Christmas Wishes

LeighSBDesigner Nan's fabulous "Harlequin Cat Christmas Wishes" card is the featured project today using Harlequin Cat-in-a-Box and the 3 Snowflakes are from the new Christmas Collection and come with the three new Oddleigh Elves.  Nan's card is the PURRfect example of how you can use a non-Christmas specific image for your holiday projects🎄

Nan used Spectrum Noir markers to colour up Harlequin Cat before fussy cutting him out.  She folded the lines of his concertina parts to give give him a 3D effect.  The head, arms and box are attached to the card base with glue leaving the folded concertina to move and bounce freely.  The sentiment is from a decorative paper pad and layered onto green "snow" paper.   Nan fussy cut out the 3 Oddleigh Snowflakes and assembled them to create a snowflake bouquet.  The card was then completed by adhering the decorated panel front to a folded card made from green cardstock.

Oddleigh Lizard Boy Elf is a whimsical, quirky and super cute Christmas Elf and he too comes with a cluster of 3 Snowflakes.  This cheeky little lizard-like boy Elf is ready for a snowball fight and he particularly loves catching snowflakes on his long tongue!  He is dressed in winter finery with an Elf hat embellished with a dangling bell!
