I'm super excited to share my latest Blockheads Design Team tutorial with you today!  I've been having a ball playing with a fantastic new iridescent ink spray called Fireworks by Tsukineko!  They come in a spritzer bottle and there's 24 glorious colours that co-ordinate with all 24 Memento ink pads!  Fireworks work on regular and glossy cardstock and other surfaces too, particularly dominoes!  Woohoo!  Fireworks are permanent when dry, water based, acid free and non-toxic and the mica powder won't rub off so your artwork will retain it's shimmer and colour!  All 24 colours are now available at Blockheads Paper Arts so dash on over and grab a few to play with!

My card features two of the Fireworks Sprays, an altered domino and two images from the awesome Seascape-Fishes collection of stamps as well as a saying from the Verses full sheet set!  They are all from Blockheads Paper Arts exclusive line of art stamps!

Create a watery background by randomly spritzing white cardstock with Danube Blue and Grape Jelly Fireworks Craft Ink Sprays.

Spritz a standard white domino at the same time.  I used a new shiny domino - so no surface preparation is needed!

Heat set the inks on the domino.

Stamp the Fish image onto the Fireworks background with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and heat set.

Run the fish through a Xyron to add permanent adhesive and then apply a coat of Judikins Diamond Glaze just to the fish for a dimensional finish.  Once dry cut out the fish with a pair of detail scissors.  The glaze really helps the cutting go a lot easier too.

Stamp the Foamy Wave image onto the Fireworks background and colour all the foam droplets with a metallic silver paint pen.

Apply Judikins Diamond Glaze to all the foam droplets for a dimensional bubble effect.

Cut out the Foamy Wave panel and punch the two top corners with a lace corner punch.  Then edge with a silver metallic paint pen.

Edge and colour the sides of the domino with a metallic silver paint pen.  Peel off the Xyron adhesive backing on the fish and adhere it to the domino.  Smear a small amount of Judikins Diamond Glaze on the sides of the domino and adhere the portions of the fish fins that hang over the edges down onto the sides of the domino.  Once secure coat the entire domino in a layer of Judikins Diamond Glaze.  The glaze will re-activate the Fireworks inks but that's okay coz I wanted the water-colour effect to stand out against the Fireworks background on the cardstock.  The inks still retained their shimmer!  Adhere a self-adhesive pearl to the bottom right corner of the domino.

Fuse a mixture of 3 colours of Angelina Fibers together and adhere them to the back of the domino with The Ultimate glue.  Check out the Angelina Fibers Techniques page on Blockheads Paper Arts for more information!

Stamp the saying "If All The World Were Paper and All The Sea Were Ink" onto the Fireworks background in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I changed the format of the saying by masking and stamping with the aide of a stamp positioner so that it would fit where I wanted it.  Cut out the saying and layer it onto a piece of metallic silver cardstock, then onto blue and finally onto a purple cardstock.

From the same blue and purple cardstock also cut out panels for the Foamy Wave.  Round the corners on the blue panel and punch the lace design into all 4 corners on the purple panel.  Cut a slightly larger piece of metallic silver cardstock to make the folded card.  Adhere all the panels to the card with double-sided sticky tape.  Adhere the saying panel to the card with tape and then adhere the domino with The Ultimate glue.  Finish of the card with 3 more self-adhesive pearls above the saying.

I hope you enjoyed checking out my sea-inspired card and learning all about the new Fireworks sprays!  Please leave me a comment when you've had the chance to try them out for yourselves, I'd love to hear what you did with them!
